Ponderosa Dried Oyster Mushrooms with their delicate shell-shaped leaves are prized for their mellow flavor. A perfect addition to your favorite cream sauces, pasta dishes, chicken, seafood and soups. Note: 0.5 oz/ 14g of dried mushrooms equals about 2.5 oz/ 70g of fresh product. To Rehydrate: Soak in a bowl of warm water, wine or stock for 20 minutes or until tender. Strain through a cheesecloth or filter reserving the flavorful liquid for use in soups, stocks or sauces. When preparing soups or stews, the dried mushrooms can be added without rehydrating as they revive during the slow cooking process. |
