A visually stunning goat cheese from Fromagerie Le Détour in Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac, Quebec. Its dark, edible ash rind provides a beautiful contrast to the snow-white interior. The cheese itself has a chalky yet smooth texture that is pleasant in the mouth. It offers a fresh, clean flavour that is delicately salty and tangy with distinct lemony notes, making it a sophisticated choice for any cheese board!

  • Named for the Canadian environmentalist Archibald "Grey Owl" Belaney.

The vegetable ash on the rind is completely edible and helps to keep the cheese moist and fresh. For a perfect pairing, enjoy Grey Owl with a dry white wine like a Vouvray or a Picpoul de Pinet.

This cheese was created by cheesemakers Mario Quirion and Ginette Bégin, who fulfilled their dream of reviving the art of cheesemaking in their home region of Témiscouata.
