The Zeppole is an Italian pastry usually enjoyed on the feast of San Giuseppe in Italy, March 19th, which is also Father's Day.
It’s a puff pastry shell filled with Italian crema (custard) and topped with Amarena Cherries.

 

The San Giuseppe feast would not be complete without this delicious pastry.
