To help you sort out what may seem to be an overwhelming array of olive oils, we've separated 3 categories. No one category is "best." Rather, we suggest you sample oils from each of the groups - each can and should take its turn on your table. Many people often have three or four oils at home, using each where it will best fit the flavour of the finished dish. Different days, different oils.

Finca la Torree Organic EVOO

Spain- Moderate.

Winner in the category for best Extra-Virgin Olive Oil by the Ministry in the ‘Premio Alimentos de España’ (Spanish Food Awards). Finca la Torre is officially the finest oil in Spain and quite possibly the world-over. Harvested from organically grown Hojiblanca olives, this oil is uniquely fresh and fruity with slight bitter and spicy notes.

 

The flavor is persistent and balanced with flavors of green almond, apple and banana and is excellent for bread dipping, or drizzling over garden salads, soups and grilled or raw vegetables.
